Speed Reading Courses - Improve Your
Mind!
Speed Reading gives you the
ability to take in a huge amount of information in a short space of
time.
Detractors of speed reading
might say it's a case of merely skimming information, however
the results speak for themselves. Once you have learnt the art
of speed reading, you'll see how incredible it can really
be.
There are a variety of speed
reading courses available, but its important to be able to
separate the real deal from the courses that promise perhaps a
little too much.
Although it may seem that
some of the text is merely being skipped as in the "skimming"
accusations - true speed reading involves the intake of all of
the words even if some of them are understood
subconsciously.
Please spend some time at my
site and learn about the various types of speed reading. If
you're interested you can download my free mini guide on speed
reading.
Take A Speed
Reading Course
There are many different
speed reading courses available. If you get hold of my free
report you'll get a quick overview of speed reading which will
help you make a decision when it comes to choosing a
course.
Some of the things that a
speed reading course may ask you to do include the
following:
- Read words at a faster
pace - well, pretty obvious really
- Attain a certain type of
meditative state - slowing the brainwaves can theoretically
improve your intake of information
- Use a "Vertical Wave"
pattern of reading. In other words read down the page
rather than from left to right. Sounds strange but with practice this
technique can be highly effective
- Meta Guiding - using a
pointer (a pen perhaps) to assist the eye in moving faster
across the page
- Memorization techniques
- improve your intake of new knowledge and help it stay
lodged in your mind.
That is just a handful of the
many possible techniques that the large variety of speed
reading courses preach. Take your time to see what each course
offers, a good course will have plenty of information for you
ro absorb before making a purchase.
Finally, avoid any course
whose claims seem too good to be true. Reading 1000 words per
minute is really not possible no matter how flashy the speed
reading course may seem.
